About Us

We believe in creating a supportive community where all can come to share their experiences.

About Us

Defend. Heal. Rise.

Salvare exists to defend, protect, and serve individuals seeking strength, healing, and empowerment.

Life can fracture confidence. Trauma can shake identity. Hard seasons can disconnect us from our inner power. Salvare was created as a place of restoration — where resilience is rebuilt, creativity is reignited, and strength is reclaimed.

We provide trauma resilience coaching, art therapy, defense training, and supportive services designed to help individuals rebuild confidence, restore inner balance, and reclaim personal power. Every service we offer is grounded in compassion, practical skill-building, and the belief that healing is possible for everyone.

A Holistic Path to Strength

True empowerment isn’t one-dimensional. It’s emotional, physical, creative, and spiritual.

That’s why Salvare integrates:

  • Trauma-informed coaching to rebuild inner resilience

  • Art therapy and expressive practices to process and transform experience

  • Defense training to restore physical confidence and personal safety

  • Guided self-care practices that strengthen the mind-body connection

We help clients move from surviving to standing strong.

Creativity as Restoration

Healing is not only about defense — it’s also about creation.

Salvare offers courses in art, writing, and self-care that nurture creativity and holistic wellness. Creative expression becomes a pathway to clarity, grounding, and renewal. Through intentional practice, individuals reconnect with their voice and rediscover joy.

Supporting Community & Meaningful Living

We proudly feature locally handmade items that support community artisans and promote intentional living. Each piece reflects the values we stand for — resilience, craftsmanship, and purpose.

By supporting Salvare, clients are also supporting a wider community rooted in strength and creativity.

Our Mission

Through compassionate guidance and practical training, Salvare equips individuals with the tools they need to:

  • Heal from past trauma

  • Strengthen mind and body

  • Build lasting confidence

  • Cultivate creativity

  • Reclaim personal power

We believe every season of life — even the hardest ones — can become a turning point.

Salvare is not just about recovery.

It is about rising.

Hello! I’m Michaelle Salvador

Author and Survivor

I’m a Colorado Native who grew up in a small town on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. From an early age I aspired to be in a career that was a service to others and my community.  So I have dedicated my career to the field of Social and Behavioral Sciences , specializing in Family and Community Engagement. I have worked closely with city officials and offices as well as large corporations to create programs and initiates that promote strong and healthy relationships within the family structure and the communities they reside in. I have also been an Earl Childhood Teacher and Director which gave me one on one connections to the development to children and the family dynamics.

In addition to my professional work, I have also volunteered for the Missionaries of Charity in India where I lived for several years. I worked with the local organizations to support marginalized communities and promote social change. This experience deepened my understanding of the complexities of Social issues and the importance of cultural sensitivity in addressing them.

Currently, pursuing my dream of becoming a writer, business owner and starting my own podcast , I’m using my background in social work and behavioral sciences to inform my work . I am passionate about storytelling as a tool for social change and advocacy. I hope to continue using my platform to ampilfy the voices of those who often feel alone, marginalized or unheard. I feel its important for everyone to know that anything is possible because life is such a gift.

When I’m not working travel is one of my favorite past times next to reading and spending quality time with those I love.

I’m a former  Police Officer and Veteran originally from Indiana. I joined the USAF from 1987 -1991 as a Security Specialist and was Airborne in US Army 2006-2008.  I then joined the Marion Police Department from 1997 -2010 where I was in the Patrol and SWAT divisions. Then, I moved to the Private Security Contracting Sector with Dyn-Corp and Triple Canopy where I was assigned to the US Embassy in Bagdad.  During my time on the force I worked diligently to uphold the law and ensure the safety of those around me.

My time in the military and law enforcement taught me the values of discipline, integrity and loyalty which I have carried with me throughout my life. I am thankful for my experiences and lessons I learned in both the military and law enforcement.I continue to uphold the values of service and dedication in my daily life always striving to make an impact on those around me.

My hope is to connect with others like me in the 1st Responder field to create an open forum for conversation of shared experiences. Now as I transition back into civilian life I am passionate about supporting and empowering fellow retired members. I believe our service time does not end in our uniform and we have a unique perspective and set of skills that can be invaluable in our communities.

Currently , I do private security and own several businesses. I’m also in the process of writing my own book. I enjoy wood working , podcasts,  good whiskey and my cabin in the Colorado Mountains.
